Featured Artist, March 23-30: Jazmine Angely'c

About the artist:

“I make 2d art mostly; digital and physical paintings and drawings. I pour anything that may be heavy on my heart into whatever i make, it inspires me but art is also an awesome way to release emotions that aren't serving you any more. it makes the whole experience so much more powerful and rewarding when you share your art and connect with people who can relate to or enjoy your art themselves. When i'm not creating art i like to listen to music, write short stories and try to cook new recipes.”

About the art:

“This piece is called "peace in self love". I feel like from the ages of 18 to 23 i have had to really focus on shedding familiar parts of me that don't serve me anymore while also loving who I am as I mature and change. This process of changing and just learning to be an adult can feel really scary, but I always feel a sense of peace and euphoria when I look at myself and all I have done with a positive, accepting attitude. This art piece is a love letter to change and loving oneself unapologetically.”
