Featured Artist, September 8-15: Norma Drish

About the art:

This was an experimental piece I was doing for a class project demo for my students. I used a quilt star design to practice and apply the different types of embroidery techniques within a manageable space.

About the artist:

Norma is a self taught artist who loves painting portraits and nature in oil and watercolor. She now teaches fiber arts at The Little Loomhouse and is experimenting with different forms of fiber art including, embroidery, needlefelting and weaving.
