September Resident Artist: Erik Rust
About the artist:
Erik Rust is a mixed media collage artist and musician living here in the Beechmont neighborhood.
My work is crafted using vintage materials such as old magazines, brochures, maps, and other materials, which are frequently finished with spray enamel paint and various techniques. All pieces are created by hand to capture the essence of dream state, nostalgia, mischief, desire, faded memory, and both the childlike and adult-like wonderment of living in our odd, sensory world.
